| 3th STAGE: PLAYA DE LAS TERESITAS From all the route you have a beautiful look of the Atlantic Ocean and Gran Canaria Island. It is an easy stage in the Northern part of the island. The athletes run across 7 kms cliff route, go down at the sea level and end at the wonderful Playa de las Teresitas (6 kms northwest of Santa Cruz, the island capital city of Tenerife) The first part of the route slighty goes up and down and it ends with 1 km descent to the beach. |

| 2nd STAGE: LAS RAICES- LAS LAGUNETAS: CANARIAN ISLANDS HALF MOUNTAIN MARATHON It is a wild beauty route in Volcano Teide National Park in the centre of Tenerife island. It is totally a ground route crossing beautiful woods of canarian pines. From here you have a very good view of the volcano cone. It is a very hard stage: the first part (8 kms) is nearly flat, the following one goes up more than 280 metres, This stage is in the middle of a thick wood and ends in a plateau then it starts the descent. From here you have a beautiful sight of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a quite good quality route. |
